What You Can Ask Lantern For

Lantern generally serves other heralds more so than the populace. However, you may certainly send Lantern your questions about heraldic studies in the Royal University of Meridies (RUM). You can also ask Lantern for assistance with anything under "What You Can Ask Candle For" if the Candle officer is unavailable.

Lantern’s Goals for the Office

• Provide information for heralds of Meridies, particularly those who are new to their jobs, to help make sure they have all the tools they need to learn their craft and serve their clients. The information will be published as handouts, links to Web sites, and an updated version of the Herald's Handbook that will be developed.
• A knowledge-based warranting program for heralds at all levels. Lantern says, "I plan to add specific course requirements to the advanced RUM degrees for heraldry. These will focus on the broad areas of general heraldry, book heraldry, voice heraldry, list management, and ilumination & scribal arts."
